Sigh..yeah it sounds a little racist AND unfunny. Although I doubt it was meant to be(certainly not unfunny). The trick to using race in humour is make the racist character or racism itself- not the target of his ire- the butt of the jokes. Anyway its hard to judge without seeing it...

Whats that stink?!? Hey take your lies, spin and ill researched propaganda and shove it back up from whence it came.

I'll agree that it's funny, but funny in that the people who have no problems making bigoted comments about others (blacks, Quebecers) are getting a taste of their own medicine.

relax, he didnt say all "ni@@ers" look the same, he said all blacks look the same, just as "all chinamen look the same" as "all white people look the same", by your logic saying "all these jews look the same" or "all these whites look the same" is racists , thats what we are "white, black". Learn to have a laugh

How upsetting is your life you cant have a laugh, since when cant we call black people black?

Nah...if some brown guy was saying all "white people look the same" and that was the extent of the joke the sound of crickets would be defeaning.

Bad taste for sure, maybe racist. For uncreative comedians poking fun at the standard steriotypes is the easy way to try get a laugh.

I think it can be very tough, say one thing wrong and you could be crucifed.

This reminds me of a Masters Golf Tournament story. The winner of the Masters gets to choose the menu for the Champions' dinner at the tournament the following year. When Sandy Lyle (from Scotland) won the Master's, Fuzzy Zoeller (a former Masters Champion) said "Oh, crap, not a Scotsman for a champion. Next year we'll be eating Haggis for dinner". Everyone laughed. When Tiger Woods won the Masters several years later, Zoeller said "Oh, crap, we'll be eating Fried Chicken next year." Zoeller was now a racist, but it was the SAME joke that everyone laughed at a few years earlier. Isn't it odd how some groups get to play the racism card and others don't? We'd all do a little better if we were able to embrace our stereotypes with a little sense of humour.

Yeah? You sure it was the same joke? Maybe on the surface...

But how many people would have laughed if it had been an Irish man and the joke had been "well all be getting drunk next year". Something tells me in that context that wouldnt have gone over very well either. Now objectively who hasnt gotten drunk once or twice? Its not on its own really considered that bad. And yet strangely enough tying that activity to an Irish mans identity in that context would have been off putting. And tying a person that isnt even really black and that grew up in a california suburb to a stereo type of African Americans from the inner city and deep south just seems retarded and unfunny to alot of people. I know, craziness.

The fried chicken, watermelon thing also has a sore history in America with old time racist cartoons and what not. It is what it is.

Just because I have no love for the Muslims (most of whom allied with those same Nazis of yours in WW2) does not make me a Nazi.

Nor does the fact that I don't excuse bigots of any race from being the bigots that they are.

When insults and bigoted jokes against white males and Christians and Jews are no longer acceptable to some groups then I'll respond in kind and give them the respect they give others.

For instance, you never hear me go on about Asians, do you? And when have you ever heard an Asian make a racist comment? I know I haven't. Therefore they get the respect from me that they likewise give to me.

I'm Irish and if I ever win the Masters it will certainly be because everyone else was drunk.

Okay, let me ask you a question: Have you ever seen the commercials for Wrigley's EXTRA chewing gum with the animated stick of gum running around with a Scottish accent? Is it funny or is it racist? As a Scottish-Canadian, I find this (and Shrek) and other attempts to trivialize and stereotype Scottish culture as offensive. So, "soreness" is very personal. But what's worse? Allowing and accepting speech that may be in bad taste but is essentially harmless or having a full-blown, Political-correctness Army curbing freedom of speech at every turn? I'll take the world with Scottish-accented chewing gum and fried chicken jokes.

Wow painting with broad brushes is your absolute forte Nazi immitator. People are individuals. So because blacks are human biengs(shocking!) and so some of them have the same propensity to to be dumb asses as some white people you say fuck em all. I know lots of black people that are offended by "whitey" jokes and lots of asians that say the same stuff about whites that has your skirt above your head about blacks. Shake out of that simpleton fog youve got your head stuck in. And I call you a Nazi because tarring entire races and groups is exactly what Nazi's do. Own it, its yours.

Oh you find it offensive do you?? GET OVER IT HOMO. No...see you're offended by a scottish accent bieng used on a cartoon character and I dont get why, but it doesnt mean Im gonna force feed my terrible scottish accent down your throat every time I see you either :D . Its called respect for what others.

And no ones talking about legislation-Im not sure I even agree with the whole"hate speech" law. I think dumb fucks should be able to blast away and then get embarassed by counter arguments based on facts. But see in a free country I also get to say that somethings not funny and a little racist. Goes both ways bud.

Okay, I don't mind a healthy discussion but the personal attacks end. Now.

If you need a moderator to remind you of the TOS on this board it can be arranged.
