OK... I'll bite... Name a North American brand TV, dvd pleyer, camera that is 100% manufactured in North America...? Name one....!!!!

When I have the opportunity I always purchase NA over import.... However recently the choice of a NA product has been getting less and less.... Ever wonder why Maurice Strong spends most of his time in China? Why the Power Corp sent Chretien (after he left the PMO) over to Asia?

The social-global elite are selling our country and the USA to Beging, Tokyo, Singapore, Berlin, etc...

Our legislation will not be made in Ottawa or DC. It will be made in Brussels or Beging. Our trade & foreign policies will be influenced by CEO's & directors who govern Sony, Panasonic, Honda, BMW and not North American boardrooms...

The nation state is being eroded away by the same fools who peddle global warming and global trade...

The betrayal of Israel has begun... Say goodbye to democracy and the freedoms we enjoy in the west... Yes, I'm mad... Madder then hell...

What Hitler did to American plants in Germany will happen here with a slight difference, the foreign plants will be running our country...

I was in the new car buying mood around Christmas time when GM had their biggest ever sale on. The best cash deal they would give me was 1 or $2000. But if I financed the vehicle they would give me 6 or $7000 off the sticker price, but I had to make at least 6 months payments before I could pay it off. No one would give me a good reason why I should give a bank close to a $1000 in interest for 15 minutes worth of paper work.

The best answer was, “ well the banks do a lot of work for us and we like to give them some business in return.”

I like to save money just like anybody else does but that was just to greasy for me, and I really do hate giving a bank anymore money than I have to, and went and bought a Honda. That’s after 30 years of owning GM products and was very satisfied with them. It seemed to me they were cooking their books before they asked for the bail out.

Oh well you win some and you lose some, but i'm more than happy with the Honda.

Then go without, hypocrite. Don't bitch and moan to the rest of us about what purchases we should make when you're guilty of the very thing you rail against. Until you're 100% North American, you've got ZERO credibility.

Bull. I seriously doubt someone like you pays significantly more money for clothing that is manufactured in North America.

And? Last time i checked Toyota and Honda were providing significant jobs in Ontario. How's that working out in St. Thomas or Windsor or Oshawa?

Tinfoil hat time. Don't care.

Take this to your conspiracy blog and save the rest of us from some whackjob manifesto.

Huh? I won't even dignify that dreck with a protracted response.

Oh I get it...you're a hypocrite. You can rationalize it any way you seem fit, but you don't have a leg to stand on here.

Porsche was #1 in Quality followed by Infiniti, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz. Oh...and BMW's Regensburg plant was 3rd in Europe.

I can personally attest that Infiniti's quality is amazing.

Playing handicapped is what motivates me... Thanks for your concern though... Now please back on topic...

Why is the selling of our manufacturing sector to foreign countries a good thing? How can the outsourcing of our jobs make us a better country? Please explain how globalization is in the best interests of Canada?

Please enlighten me, please educate me? :?: :?: :?: :?:

Some of you are stating imports hold their value better then domestics... Next time watch the Barrett-Jackson auto auctions on SpeedTV... It's nothing to see a 30 or 40 year old Impala go for $60,000+... A Mustang went for over $200,000...

AND IF imports are better why do most taxis, police stations, fire departments and other service industries mostly use cars from the big 3?

These are sectors that depend on their vehicles. If they are NOT reliable they can't do their job...

Sorry I don't need a WIKI link to back up my arguments...

Manufacturing creates enormous amounts of wealth.

This is why so much manufacturing has fled Canada and North America. To keep this wealth in the hands of the owners, corporations and share holders they have moved their factories to Asian where they can pay employees a tiny fraction of our minimum wage, avoid labour laws and ignore safety and enviromental concerns.

These bailouts won't work if wealth is not being created in North America.

Too bad the Republicans in the US did not pick Ron Paul over John McCain... Paul understood what it would take to resolve the economic issues in the USA.... One good idea he had was to get rid of the Federal Reserve and do away with person & corporate income tax, replacing it with a hefty tariffs on imports...

Buy a Toyota, Honda, Nissan or some other ricer and the bulk of the profits leave North America... Same for BMW, Audi, Fiat, etc...

Time to sober up and face the grim reality....this is economic war against the North American working, middle class...

Owned a Toyota Celica GT and a Toyota Landcruiser. Both were fairly tough but parts were way too expensive... The Landcruiser used an alternator built by GM for Toyota. You could buy the alternator at a GM dealership or a Toyota dealership. Toyota charged over 2 times the price...!!!!

I also felt like a traitor when I was driving around in the Celica or Landcruiser.... It's a feeling I'm not too comfortable with...

A successful foreign-owned company is better for our economy than a dying domestically-owned company. Toyota feeds a lot of families in my hometown, and I LOVE my Tundra.
