Yeah it probably has some sort of military purpose...

No idea what good it's doing for them.

The white lines are really the most interesting to me. It's artistic to me.

This is Avon bombing range which is the air space I flew the P51's and L39 in. It's just plowed into the sand but look real from the air. They have target aircraft like Migs there too.

Interesting! Makes a lot of sense.

That they have a model of an entire terrain of disputed land gives the impression they're preparing for something big.

Most of these things either look like some sort of design for calibration or targets; or both...

The second pic looks like an airfield, but by nuggets logic, it's all photo-shopped, roads and all.
