My GPS didn’t say, ‘you’re entering another country,’” DiNatale said.
He said he tried to explain to the border officer why they didn’t have their passports and asked if they could just turn around. He said he showed them their reservation documents.
His statement does not make sense. It is one of the 10 most used border crossings. Here is an aerial view.

The GPS may not have said Canada ahead, but what about all the signs he passed in the 20 miles before the border? Look at the multiple turnaround options all the way up to and after the US crossing point.
'Duh. I did not want to go to Canada so I stayed on the road with all the signs saying Canadian border crossing.'
His story seems pretty weak when you view the pictures. He either thought he could get away with it or has a low IQ.
