Another drug gang related shooting last night.
All while their paying lip service to victims rights, these "progressive " folks keep saying they want to work at the reasons behind the violence, all while they fixate on the tool, instead of the illegal drugs behind it all.

There appears to be a real problem growing on the West Coast. What drugs are they fighting over. Is this the local B.C. Bud or is it imports?

But it's all under control because the mayor wants to ban all knives big enough to kill someone..

Like any citizen, I’m abhorred that this could happen to (anyone) whether it was someone innocent or not,” Mandel told Sun Media today. “It’s even more horrific when it’s someone innocent.”

The sale of large knives capable of inflicting fatal wounds should be controlled, he said.

“We need to find a way to put a strong lobbying position before the federal (and) provincial government if we can’t pass legislation to stop knives being sold in our city. It’s enough already. We maybe should’ve done something earlier, but it seemed under control. Now, it’s back alive and, unfortunately, well and we can’t have that,” he said.

Fifeboy: Not being in that industry, I don't know. Perhaps you could ask Derby because he obviously has some strong, abet confused oppinions on it.

Sorry to hear about that.
And I think the Edmonton police response is good. More cops on the street is a good idea. If there are hot spots than surveillance cameras would also help, especially if there are police nearby.

A ban on the sale of knives is just a bit silly, considering how easy it is to come by one, or make one for that matter.

About the drugs, I don't know why I wanted to know, just curious I guess.

"The sale of large knives capable of inflicting fatal wounds should be controlled"

What color is the sky in this guys world?

We should register them to stop crime, the really scary ones we could call assault knives, anyone caught with anything sharper than a butter knife will be whipped with a piece of cold spagetti.

Sound like a mad man ranting?

Well he started it!
