Yes, July 1st is a little different in NFLD.
The Manchester Regiment lost thousands at the Somme also.

I spent 3 years at CFB Goose Bay and visited the Island very regulary. Great people Newfs.
Being half-Irish I found an instant rapport with many Newfs.

I wasn't around today to dress-up the site special. I'm currently on a downhill biking road trip. We spent the day up at Silverstar, had some Canada Day cake. Going to the fireworks in Kelowna in a bit.
