What exactly are they supposed to invest in? We've lost our manufacturing, resources are for shit. What's left?

Any Investment is likely to take some time before it happens. There is always the possibility that current low prices for Oil end, thus bringing back strength in the $ and Economy. Don't really expect that for awhile, but could happen.

Globally I think Investors are a little weary right now. Not just because of Oil prices, but because China's economy is currently struggling.
