I was wondering what the response to this would be. Would it be an honest acknowledgment that he's finally at least making noises about doing what you guys have been saying the Liberals need to do, or would it be a glib dismissal? I guess I should have known it would be the latter.

I wonder if Iggy will put his money where his mouth is since he's such a tightwad.

Yes you should have. If they set goals then its obvious they are being greedy. If they don't then it indicates the Iggy is acknowledging that his MPs have't got the ability to raise the money.

Doesn't matter what the Libs do they will complain.

.. yeah.. because we're all so scared of the professor.. :D

It's good to see them trying to find their grass roots funding but it's ironic and laughable that their new shining leader was appointed by behind the curtain kingmakers instead of by the party itself.

Oh bitch, bitch, bitch. As if anyone cares about that right now. Given that the selection of party leaders is not open to the general electorate, who gives a flying fuck how they do it internally? You're just pissed they didn't hold on to Dion until the leadership convention.

And you're still deflecting from the fact that they're at least trying now to build their fundraising capabilities and not be so dependent on the subsidies.

Wow. Hit a nerve there.
I do think this is a smart move but it's the same half assed move they made after ADSCAM. Instead of fixing the problem, they whitewash over top and dress it up so they can get back in the race as fast as possible. The problem is the grassroots will vote for a party they see as responsible and reflecting their values, not just for some brand.

Well than that doesn't bode well for Harper considering how quickly he's abandoning his values.

That's an issue us card carrying Conservative party members will decide though, not some kingmakers at Powercorp. You will never gather grass roots money if you ignore grassroots decisions.

How quickly you move from votes to memberships and donations. No wonder you support a chameleon like Harper.

Pretty much...remember how they derided Iggy for paying attention to the Prairies last month?

Nothing any Liberal does will ever make these two blue kool-aid drinkers happy.
