In a police state, this is small time stuff. Americans are getting used to their government taking all their privacy and freedoms away under the guise of security, why would this piss them off?
I've always thought of our southern cousins as being pro-freedom, and having an entire branch of government being spied on by an agency that isn't supposed to spy on internal citizens - let alone the branch of government supposed to oversee them - to me should evoke angry people marching in the streets!
It just wobbles my mind that things have gone so retrograde that whether Bloom punched Bieber (nice shot, BTW) seems more important to them.
