Coleman is saying he understands the peer reviewed science that's already out there, and there's a ton of it. Don't believe me? Start here...
Peer-reviewed articles skeptical of Man-Caused global warming.
I believe you--I just think that it's silly for him to say that he's done all the math and determined AGW is false without showing the math.
And really, ALL the research papers related to climate change should be skeptical. Anthropogenic climate change, as a hypothesis, has to be falsifiable. Scientists should attempt to falsify their own hypotheses, because if they don't, someone else will do it for them. That can be embarrassing (ask Dr. Mann, regarding his bristlecone pine data, for example).
To me, the main falsifiable aspect of climate change theory would be if real temperatures do not match IPCC projections, within the context of the uncertainty of those projections. This has been done graphically here.

As far as research scientists go, not only is it a fact there always were research guys such as Spencer, and Christy challenging aspects of global warming, we're seeing more and more hardcore scientists crossing over to what you would think of as the dark side. There are some examples HERE. Yes it's a right-wing blog. So what? Prove the actual information false.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. If AGW is demonstrated to be false, I will readily admit it when it becomes apparent to me (though I am a little slow), and walk away a sadder and wiser man. I have no vested interest, apart from some wounded pride on an internet chat forum I visit (this one!). I'm not a socialist and do not support Al Gore's solutions or Kyoto. I don't think we should spend trillions to prevent it or damage the world economy by drastically cutting back on oil. I'm just a scientist who stakes my claim on science.
I have a lot of respect for some skepctics, such as Richard Lindzen and Stephen McIntyre, and yourself, for that matter.
All that to say,. I do not consider science papers skeptical of climate change to be from "the dark side."
