The majority of research scientists in relevant fields disagree with Mr. Coleman. The opponents of AGW theory will not get anywhere until they address this fact, instead of writing the whole thing off as, to quote the American Thinker article, somme conspiracy of the "MSM".

hmmm no warming for ten years. Seems to be like I thought, a cycle that will come and go and a chance for others to get rich and a way for governments of the world to raise tax contributions and nothing more. XD

That's why Suzuki wants deniers thrown in jail and Gore refuses to debate anyone?
It's settled, they say.. and the media who have a financial stake in this keep up with the chicken little line.

Again, casting aspersions is fine, but it hardly stacks up to the science on the issue.

From the original artilce:

John Coleman wrote:
Well, it is simply not happening. Worldwide there was a significant natural warming trend in the 1980’s and 1990’s as a Solar cycle peaked with lots of sunspots and solar flares. That ended in 1998 and now the Sun has gone quiet with fewer and fewer Sun spots, and the global temperatures have gone into decline. Earth has cooled for almost ten straight years. So, I ask Al Gore, where’s the global warming?

Don't ask Al Gore. Check the science.

From Fawcett 2007. http://www.aussmc.org/documents/waiting-for-global-cooling.pdf

From the original article:

John Coleman wrote:
Now allow me to talk a little about the science behind the global warming frenzy. I have dug through thousands of pages of research papers, including the voluminous documents published by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. I have worked my way through complicated math and complex theories. Here’s the bottom line: the entire global warming scientific case is based on the increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from the use of fossil fuels. They don’t have any other issue. Carbon Dioxide, that’s it.

Great. I look forward to your peer-revewied paper on the subject showing your complicated math and complex theories. What's that? Coleman has never written a peer-reviewed science paper? Quel surpise!

Taken from the original article for this thread:

"The notion that you're ignorant of something and somebody comes up with a wrong answer and you have to accept that because you don't have another wrong answer to offer," he says, "is like faith healing, or quackery in medicine – if somebody says you should take jelly beans for cancer and you say that's stupid, and he says, well, can you suggest something and you say no, does that mean you have to go with jelly beans?"

Richard Lindzen, the Harvard-trained Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meterology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Coleman is saying he understands the peer reviewed science that's already out there, and there's a ton of it. Don't believe me? Start here...

Peer-reviewed articles skeptical of Man-Caused global warming.

As far as research scientists go, not only is it a fact there always were research guys such as Spencer, and Christy challenging aspects of global warming, we're seeing more and more hardcore scientists crossing over to what you would think of as the dark side. There are some examples HERE. Yes it's a right-wing blog. So what? Show me where the actual information on those particular skeptical scientists mentioned is false. Yes I did see the link to Inhoef's list of 500, and I do know a couple of those disavowed inclusion, and a few more have questionable credentials. I'm talking specifically about the ones mentioned such as Itoh, Dr. Richard Mackey, or Dr. William J.R. Alexander.

I like the one about the most recent IPCC scientist to cross-over - Dr. Kiminori Itoh. "Itoh’s new book includes chapters calling man-made global warming fears “the worst scientific scandal in the history.” So it's not just Coleman who's saying it.

More on Itoh

BTW, on your graphs...wanna play dueling graphs. Wanna see some that show 21st century cooling. You and I both know they exist. I've shown them to you before.

"Since the planet has actually been cooling in the last ten years it's fun to watch the AGW believers flail about trying to come up with new theories to explain what's happening. Their favorite new word is "variability", this is how they explain global cooling."

Yea, because ten years of stable to cooling trumps a hundred years of overall warming. Right. Take a hike...

I hate walking..

"There is no significant man made global warming. There has not been any in the past, there is none now and there is no reason to fear any in the future. The climate of Earth is changing. It has always changed. But mankind’s activities have not overwhelmed or significantly modified the natural forces."
