Colin Quinn and his "Tough Crowd" may be ushered off the premises at Comedy Central.

The late-night show, which features a group of comedians working punchlines into a discussion of current events, is scheduled to go on a hiatus in November. That's no big deal, but it also looks like production of the show may shut down then as well.

"The future of the show will be determined at that time," a network spokesman tells The Hollywood Reporter. Other sources, however, tell the paper that "Tough Crowd" is probably on its last legs.
Lackluster ratings are largely to blame. "Tough Crowd" holds onto only about half of the audience from its lead-in, "The Daily Show." The network has struggled in recent years to find a lead-out series that can retain most of "The Daily Show's" viewers, in a timeslot opposite the network late-night shows.

"Tough Crowd" premiered in December 2002.
