Grist gave Pouyan the maximum sentence the Crown requested — 18 months, minus credit for time served.

18 months minus time served for opening fire in a crowded night club??? shows what a real deterent our laws are (sarcasm). It's a stupid system that frees offenders and leaves police powerless to do anything other than constantly lock up these people only to have them released after a.. ahem lengthy (sarcasm) sentence

heh i was thinking that too, i can walk into a night club, open fire and get less than two years

I think the justice system should START with getting rid of this 'time served' NONSENSE. All fire arm offenses should be reverse onus offenses, you are guilty until you prove that you didn't mean anything by shooting that gun in a crowd .

Where are these folks demanding a fair trial for suspects and repeate offenders yet demand that all legal gun owners pay for this?

What the hell is the point of parole if it has no teeth. It's pretty obvious that the longer you're rap sheet, the less time you do.
