I imagine he doesn't mention prayers, because any reference to religion will hurt his future political career.

He's said in the past his faith is very personal to him, he might just prefer to keep it that way.

The Libs make their hay based on being centralist. The more "neutral" they are, in any instance, the better for them.

I just wish that centre, was always centre. Not this floating zone that is determined relative to the fringe elements on the right and left.

Yet again here he is in a very public and unmistakable posture of prayer.

Namaste lost it's religious connotations over a thousand years ago.

Now it is a respectful gesture across the Indian subcontinent, and much of SE Asia.

Got bored, did more digging.

We have no idea who actually invented it. Too old. Although referred to now as Namaste, the pose (itself, without the verbal) is called Añjali Mudrā (Sanskrit). And, it was old, even to them!

Crazy, actually.

Any who, the pose is so old, that it has become a staple across much of the old world, both culturally and religiously, depending on the specific environment, and vocalizations used.

Christianity got their praying pose....from this. Well, technically from the Egyptian religions they copied, but those guys copied it as well, so...

This transparent attempt by media and politicians to pass a transparent act of Islamic terrorism off as anything but is entering the next level of beyond simple critique.

Now the mockery begins...

Far from the imaginary TDS. He’s quite articulate and mature in his discussions.

In the satire vid above there's a portrayal of an exaggerated nutbag SJW.

Or is it exaggerated? [huh]

Check out the real life nutbag SJW below and tell me it's not hard deciding which one is Parody.

You really need to check that out before you double down on namaste being a secular expression.

It isn't and saying so diminishes the religious importance of it for those who do attribute religious connotations to it.

Fucking idiot yoga teachers at your local gym might not give it much meaning but a quick check of my Hindu coworkers just now says otherwise.

Something occurred to me about this Tweet from JT...

He doesn't mention his 'thoughts and prayers' because why should he pray to himself?

Prayers are for the meek, helpless and simple-minded who choose to put their head in the sand and wait for a fictional deity to come along and solve their problems for them.
