Rally this weekend in Surrey....anti-gang rally...

http://www.straight.com/article-201766/ ... g-violence

“No more will we stand by as people die needlessly at the hands of gangs who seek to divide our community. We will unite in solidarity against injustice,” said Loke.
“It’s time for the entire community to come together, stand up, and say we will no longer tolerate gangs or gang violence. We have a right to safely go to the mall or a park,” remarked Hillsdon.

oh, im sure the gangbangers will be so impressed,

they will drop to their knees and beg forgiveness.

Better to burn a couple of police stations instead.
And a courthouse, too :)

THAT will send a message.

I don't know, rally all you want, the ganbangers aren't listening. If the cops can't stop them and they have no fear of the law then the local neighbourhood watch isn't about to change anything.
Having said that we do need to be dilligent in our communities and call in on drug deals/fights and other unsavory activities in our communities.

One of my favourite quotes...

Quote:
A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. - Mead

wont stop the violence, but it will show unity in community...and let politicians know that the community wont be passive anymore.

I guess there is that??? Hopefully it accomplishes something. We need a plan in the west, these guys are making it too dangerous to even go out. I say forced labor in a for any convicted gang member, Life means Life for murder sentences and a minimum 25 years for attempted murder with no parole.

Christ, some days I just want Harper to go FLQ on the gang's asses. Yes I know unconstitutional and such, but this is disgusting. I'm sick and tired of hearing innocent people get wounded, murdered, or terrorized by these sick fucks, and what's worse, they'd probably have been arrested before.

I heard them on the radio and it's the same crap about prohibition being the magic solution to this problem. I wonder how many pot activists or drug addict support groups will be out in support.

I wanted to go with a sign that read:

.. just to see if anyone else would see how this is obvious bullshit.

Oh yeah.. and we had another shooting this afternoon too.

We have a viable solution to the 'gang problem' right at our fingertips. 'Our gang', ( the Military) is bigger, better trained, and better outfitted, but our govt doesn't have the balls to institute such a move because the rights of the citizens are trumped by the rights of the gang members!
