The British police and politicians need to turn off their televisions and stop believing the made-up plots of TV terrorism. Photographic reconnaisance is used to lengthen movies or TV programs.

There is no proof that photographic reconnaisance has ever been used in serious terrorist atrocities. Photographic reconnaisance was NOT used prior to 9/11 nor any other attacks.

Despite the excuses related to terrorism, the truth is that Police do not want their activities to be subject to photographic scrutiny by the general public, which implies that they often ignore civil and individual rights.

The notion of the British that photographers are potential terrorists proves otherwise.

This is an example of even non-cops harassment of photographers in the UK

Even children can get arrested for taking photos in the UK.

Unfortunately that trend is migrating to other urban areas in Canada and the U.S. as well. You have to wonder when the police can videotape the general public but the general public cannot videotape or photograph the police.

The political clichés of transparency and accountability don't seem to apply to the police or they would not be afraid of being photographed or videotaped.
