It looks like a variation of it may have been used.

if you click on the longer video( its some sort of hyperlink button embedded into the Bubbles video near the end) , it shows how residents of parkdale were herded together into holding areas right on the street, and detained for several hours. some of the local residents trying to go about their day were drawn in and caught up in this. some were arrests for having a phone number written on their arm, citizens were recommend to have a phone number of a lawyer before going down there, and the cops actually used the mere existance of the number to arrest people. The used 'back packs' as a reason to arrest people. The lifted up the blouse of a women and performed a visual search for weapons, with no regard for her privacy.....the list goes on, its shocking......way more terrible that anything Bubbles did or said.

Based on the video, I can certainly understand why many of the residents were down right pissed off at the police.

A variation of the War Measures Act was used in Toronto? Really ASL? Care to enlighten us all?

Oh and if you recall the Toronto Star ran a poll that put 70-80% approval rating by residents of Toronto on police actions at the G20. Angus Reid put it at 73% in Toronto.

"Police Reaction in Toronto Justified for Canadians
(Angus Reid Global Monitor) – People in Canada and residents of the latest G20 summit host city believe the reaction of the police to the demonstrations that took place during the meeting of world leaders was justified, according to a poll by Angus Reid Public Opinion. 66 per cent of respondents in Canada—and 73 per cent of people in Toronto—agree with this view."

Yep, the part of the WMA that specifically deals with use of chemical weapons was enacted, which is why the good cop was just performing his duty.

The female constable looked a little embarassed to be standing beside the dumbass. The protestor looked stunned...not a big surprise, and the big dumbass looked like he had an attitude going on...you can see how he was clenching and unclenching his jaw.

no, we've all seen that video, its the video that is linked to this video that many of us haven't watched, or at least havent commented on....the one that interviews a defense lawyer, talks about people getting herded into holding areas, etc.

Watch the first video, and click on the link that pops up in it. What do you guys think of that video?

diggerdick diggerdick:
this is exactly, the type of mentality that caused the death of the man in the Vancouver airport.

It would be interesting to run IQ test on that boy.

Not even close to related other than a high handed cop, stick to the topic at hand.

$1:
Though a lawsuit may be a bit over the top, if the hippy stopped acting like a 5 year old there wouldn’t be an issue.

I'd think that there was enough going on that actually warrented police attention, a girl blowing bubbles compared to destruction of property, seems mr. officers priorities were a bit off that day
