Quebec, should we be surprised they think money grows on trees.

Everyone knows money comes from brown paper envelopes or arts grants.

Don't care much for those Greenpeace types.

They do not seem to have a clue about economic matters. Those idiots only look at it from their point of view which is pollution, all the while ignoring the benefits.

Quebec who? The only province to take their toys and go off to play in the corner so why do they rate a poll vote?

I wonder if they would mind if we excluded them from the portion of transfer payments they receive that are based on the oil profits? Would they have something to say about that too?

I would like to know which regions of the province they surveyed.

Polls can often be determined beforehand, depending on the regions.

And there are much worse things too. One needn't look very far outside North America to find those things in abundance. Apparently most outside Quebec are prepared to consider that.

If you can't do it right, don't do it.

Profit versus everything else.
I'm sure profit was the main concern over everything else:
when the Chinese put melamine in there food and lead paint on the toys
when companies harvest more than can be renewed
when the tobacco industry sells cigarettes
when the dealers sell their junk
when contractors use sub-grade materials and the roof caves in

^^^ precisely my point. Good illustration mtbr.
The US's 'dirty energy' laws only affect foriegn companies. Obama endorses this and the followers think they are 'doing something' about clean energy as a result. Fact is Obama, perhaps especially Obama, knows that it is infinately more important to start buying oil from people who aren't going to throw a molitov cocktail at them rather than scrutinizing the relatively minor 'dirtiness' of it's production.

The US will not 'just say no' to oil. Neither will agriculture or manufacturing.

Considering how much they receive in transfer payments they probably do.

Quebec needs to start paying it's own way.
