Dammit. They're such a fun & well-loved band. RIP Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters drummer https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/25/entertai ... index.html$1: (CNN)Taylor Hawkins, the drummer for the legendary US rock band Foo Fighters, has died, the band said Friday. He was 50.
"The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever," the band said in a statement. "Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginable difficult time."
On Friday, the band was scheduled to perform in Bogotá, Colombia, for the Festival Estereo Picnic followed by Lollapalooza Brasil on Sunday, according to its website.
The band also announced Thursday that it would take the stage at the Grammy Awards in Las Vegas on April 3. Probably their best song, IMO.

David Kilgour, longtime MP who quit 2 different parties for ideological reasons, dies at 81$1: Kilgour was first elected as an MP for Edmonton—Strathcona in 1979 as a member of the Progressive Conservative party. He quit the caucus of Prime Minister Brian Mulroney in 1990 because he opposed the implementation of the GST. $1: In 2005, Kilgour publicly quit a major federal party for the second time in his career when he left the Liberals over what he said were "about 10 issues" with the party's conduct — including the sponsorship scandal and its plans to legalize same-sex marriage.
Kilgour also cited Canada's unwillingness to take part in a multinational effort to stop the genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan as a reason for his departure.
Ottawa eventually sent humanitarian aid to Sudan, a move attributed in part to Kilgour's persistent and public calls for action.

As a tribute to our late joke-makers, too many of which have been dying lately, it's the porn stars who are supposed to drop like flies, not the comedians. Gilbert would laugh at something like that, because he was a loveable sick demented fuck. RIP, Johnny Crunch, you just hit paydirt with K-DIRT.
