Quote: - There are an estimated 20,000 marijuana grow ops in houses across the province, and many thousands more hidden in the mountains and valleys of the interior. It's conservatively estimated that marijuana is an industry with revenues of $5 billion to $7 billion a year. http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/ ... RTM0013235Uh.. No. Grow ops are the established cash cow of an illegal empire. To pretend that it's just grandma growing it with her tommatoes, to help her glaucoma is a lie.

So you knew that pot was big illegal business yet you wanted to exclude it from this list because???
I would love to see grandma who uses it for her glaucoma grow her own pot, and the dirtbag student who has no life.. just to get it away from organized crime but with it still illegal in the US, nothing is going to change.

You think? I tend to disagree. But hell, what do I know? EVER thought that XTC, Chrystal Meth, Coke, Heroin are big businesses too?
You brought up the fact that it might be pot related. I think that is not enough. Then again, they are all babies killing eachother, younger than 25. Huh, you might be right...

Pft.. Pot, meth, XTC, all are illegal. I think most people are against the money that fuels the gangs. The currency of those gangs are the illegal drugs that they sell into the US. The first step is stopping the organized criminals, then education will do the rest. If people are stupid enough to take am illegal drug they know nothing about, made bu someone they don't knowm then they deserve what they get.

I don't think I did? I offered other things this might be over, and I offered my opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.
Edit: I should have quoted your question...

I think there is a huge difference between so called hard drugs and soft drugs. I rather see Meth and XTC off the streets than pot. We can't have it all, but now we got nothing.

Sorry. I felt that was unfair. I like to sell folks rope, then hang them I'll give you a rain check. I agree but to ignore the funding Pot gives these groups is narrow minded. Prohibition talk is harmfull to Canada as long as the US keeps pot illegal. Bottom line is the money fuels these bastards and it's only slightly better when one gang dominates than when a bunch of small ones fight for their market share.

E is one of the drugs that doctors are looking at now for treating clinical depression. It shows great promise in providing an almost immediate relief that is long lasting(up to a week), as opposed to SSRIs that take time to build up in your system.

That's good but it dosen't help those of us in BC who are looking at buying illegal firearms because the police and courts can no longer help us.

I'm not ignoring it, I just say it might not be pot, and I had the feeling you were gonna make this a debate about legalizing pot or not I fully agree with your last sentense.
