*sigh*

This is why Americans think we are so pathetic, you know.

Reminds me of the movie "Canadian bacon", where a "Hardcore Crime" would be to spread litter around.

Not uncommon, BC has a problem with almost any metal being stolen, I gotta wonder where one would fence manhole covers though?

I think the problem is all over with the price of metals these days. We had a guy electrocuted just a while back because he was trying to steal the 25kv cable out of a Emax switch box for the copper. I remember when we use to install that stuff, we would take the tailings (the ends we cut off) and strip the coating off (no easy task) and sell it for about 20 bucks a meter. We'd use it to hold a bbq for all the workers but a few guys would collect the scraps for themselves and they made pretty good money doing it. That was back about 7 years ago, I can't imagine what that stuff sells for now.

Which country is truly pathetic, here? The one having petty crime or the one having school shootings once a year?

Then there was the guy they found dead in a man hole in Bridgeland (Calgary), They think he was stealing metal as well.
