I never undertood how people can do this to animals. Appropriate punishment would be to do the same thing to him. Lock him up in a van with shorts and a tshirt for 19 days and see if he survives.

I want to know how he didn't intend to abandon it. I mean you KNOW you own a dog. You KNOW you are leaving for 19 days. He must have KNOWN he hadn't made arrangements. He is just grasping at straws here to make himself look better. Too bad he's failing.

The problem is people look at animals as nothing more than un-important but the reality is that animals are very important to our planet, even insects are. Animals don't have the intelligence to know how to get out of that situation while humans do. Which is why more importance should be placed on animal abuse.

My mom's friend was going on vacation with her son and had to leave the dog at home so she payed this woman who lives near here to just drop in and check in on her dog and feed him and give him water.

When they get home they found there dog locked in a room and she starved to death. That woman did nothing more than go into the house to crash there and take some food while doing nothing about why she was paid to be there in the first place.

Some people deserve to go to jail but of course because we have such lack punishment for animal abuse. These people who are more labeled as animals themselves than animals are just get away with that shit scott free.

It is stories like these I wish a animal organization just went bat shit crazy and started a murder spree of all 100% known animal abusers.

Since in my opinion they are lower than animals and are labeled as that to me. Who cares right?

Bellon says 'inadverdantly left in the van'! 'By who' needs to be answered. Too much info missing. Was someone else supposed to look after the dog or take it to a boarding kennel? Regardless, 'someone' is guilty of negligence/cruelty in the very least and should be punished accordingly.

But at the end of the day it was his dog and was in his posession when he left. If it was someone else why doesn't he say so?
