So I'm wondering what they are, and how they are 'Canadian' as opposed to USian or Norwegian or Nigerian.
You take a bit from each and incorporate it into the nations and personal values. Over time it morphs into a particular thing that becomes regarded as Canadian Values.
Very broad explanation.
That's the thing. My values will be different than yours, and different than The People's Party, and different than the nice (hot) Nigerian immigrant down the hall from me - but the general things we all hold as morals won't be any different between us.
So what are 'Canadian' values?

The problem arises when shifting values among the populace happens one group desires to be and or viewed a certain way while another wants something different. Generally it's small or simple things at first but over time the 2 or more groups/sides notice they are becoming more and more different in their outlook and perception of things. Currently that's part of what's happening in the USA. IMO
But it's not who Canadians are. All I had to witness is the growth of
The Heritage festival over the decades to see that. We revel in our differences. We embrace our differences. We respect our differences.
Perhaps it's the growth of the Heritage festival that shows us what Canadian Values actually are?
