We'll, to be fair he was elected as a caretaker Pope so, I guess given his poor health at the start of his reign he wasn't supposed to have lasted this long and the church has decided to, as they say move in a "new direction".

I'm also suprised that we didn't read about this job change in the Vatican obituaries. Maybe someone in the Church finally noticed that there was a commandment that forbade removing caretaker popes unaturally.

I personally think that they're getting rid of Sgt Shultz so they can bring in that Black Bishop from Africa and be seen as all inclusive or at least more relevant for the 21 Century.

Why else would the Church would start selling itself on TV like the cheap whore you mentioned with those horrible cheezy "come back to the Church" commercials.

Or for a laugh, they're gonna bring in someone younger and hipper who's gonna announce that Priests can finally get married which, they figure may solve one of their problems not realizing that the Boy Scouts of America had those same policies and it still didn't help them when it came to their leaders diddling little boys.
