They definitely went overboard on that one. Kicking a kid out for a non-violent act like that is stupid. Suspend him, make him work cleaning the school for a month or two, make him give speaches on appropriate behavior and the downfalls of peer pressure... any number of things. Expelling him for that is stupid.

Nah, I agree with the expulsion... as well as the charges he faces.

At 17, he's definitely old enough to know better.

He didn't just whip it out and put it back in. He walked into the class with his genitals in hand, and from the sounds of it, everyone had a chance to see. It wasn't till the teacher (or aid) saw and told him to put it away that he did.

He's plenty old enough to learn that his actions have consequences.

I'm sure he fully expected he would get a suspension. Girls go to school all the time with their boobs half hanging out and no one says anything about that.
