Time is an entirely man-made convention. The calendar has been changed several times since its inception.
I even like the idea of an extra week every 5 or 6 years. As long as everyone gets the week off for the "Quintennial Holiday"
ANYTHING that requires advanced planning/scheduling of a year or longer would benefit greatly. Weddings, sporting events, concerts, circuses, annual trade shows, business seminars/retreats, vacations, teaching schedules..man the list goes on and on. I think this is especially so since the world has gone "global".
I also think the idea of "one time zone" is a great idea. But unlike the calendar, there'd be zero time to adjust to such a fundamental change in how we perceive and tell time so I don't see it happening anytime soon.
