the raid probrably cost 250 000-1 000 000, no way you are gonna recoup that in property value alone.

Um, no.
Get a fucking clue.
Look, you have a right to your opinion but as for the clue thing, well, some things are better left unsaid
Like I said, Don't screw with them and you will be fine. Seriously!!! It's not like they go around shooting people only for the fun of it. Unless, you owe them some money or mess with their women, then you might end up at the bottom of the St-Lawrence, both feet in concrete

The raid itself didn't cost anywhere near a million bucks. Seizing the property and re-selling it, even less so. But if you include the legal costs, sure, you could be right. Still, the value to the community in getting rid of organized crime is priceless.

Screwing with them is merely being a decent citizen who just happens to disagree with them and want them shut down.
I obviously have an insight into these guys that you don't have.

as an athiest.....
It would be interesting indeed to hear what the first word of your last scream would be if.....
a few of the 'angels' were bearing down on you!
Where do YOU get your info on the HA from? It certainly isn't from any personal experience in any way, shape or form.
And we all just know for sure that journalists and authors don't color or stretch the truth eh!
If everything that was ever 'reported' in the papers or on the news about me then no question, I would be a pariah. But many people know me for who I am and were quite capable of making the separation from my 'lifestyle and mis-deeds'!
As was said about me by one gentleman years ago,' Some people go thru life and hope to leave a path for others to follow, but man. YOU cut a fucking swath'!
As I stated in the second sentence of my first post in this thread, 'The HA are a criminal organization'.
However, I never offered an opinion as to whether I agree with their business or not.
So far, where's the hypocrisy ON MY PART?
Then I said that I have lived in their neighborhood and that it was a 'crime-free' neighborhood.
Still no hypocrisy
I also said that I lived on military bases, in military neighborhoods, and had cops for neighbors and though in these neighborhoods crime seemed to be less than in MOST OTHERS, it still existed to an extent.
I prefer to live in a crime-free neighborhood. The 'law' can't seem to provide one but the HA have no problems doing so. Again. The HA are damn good neighbors. And I said that already too!
So far so good. Still no hypocrisy ON MY PART!
I also stated that from time to time I visit some of their legitimate business premises, for whatever reasons.
At least with the HA, a person knows where they stand. Which is more than can be said about MOST other people!

The seizure of the building is imo a waste of money.
Why?
They can sell the building for way more than it cost to seize it.
Like I said before, I think they will have to give it back. I don't think they will be able to prove the building is paid for with illegally made money. The Hell's Angels are not crazy, they will have their illegal activities covered, and have a legal way of owning that building.
That makes it a waste of money. With organized crime, you should have a solid case, and then make your move. Not make the move and try to build a case around it. That won't work.

It hasn't even gone to court, yet you're proclaiming they don't have a case.
How do you do that?
Do you have a crystal ball?

some way to get ri of organized crime. most the blokes arrested in the raid who actually go to jail will be out and back on the streets in 6 months or less. They'll just be even more pissed off.

So you're suggesting that people who support the law should have their lives endangered?
You already brought up the "tainted media" line so do you want to argue that it's somehow better to support "our" gangs instead of those evil, dangerous non-white gangs? Somehow the addicted women on the east side have benefitted by the HA instead of those nasty asian gangs?
They always used to say that none of their members were convicted of crimes, then drug crimes, then they suddenly just gave p because a whole lot of their members were convicted for a great number of awful things. These raids build up a great deal of inteligence on their actions and membership and, even though they have embedded contacts and other usefull idiots, they are failing and the tide is turning against them.

Hey Riden, You might taking things a little out of context here.
All I basically said is `` Don't screw with them and they won't screw with you``.
As for the media aspect, I usually use it for political purposes. Mostly the QC media bias and favouritism towards the PQ or Bloc. What does this have to do with this thread? It has nothing to do with the subject at hand here. If anything, The Angels outfit got criticized a whole lot through the media.
If it were between The Angels and some street gang (which seemingly shoot people at random). Heck yea, The Angels are much more civilized.
Now, I will not pretend to know everything about their organization. I actually came across some of them and never felt threatened in any way. At least for the Quebec Chapiter. Now I don't know about your area.
Listen, You have your opinion and I have mine. It's alright.
I will not mention any names here But look at some of the previous posts on this thread. Some people actually got to know them on a personal basis and they are still alive to talk about it !!!

I'm sure the girls that they've forced into prostitution, the people that can't afford to pay protection, and the countless people that are hooked on their drugs think that their great people too!!
They're criminals, nothing more, nothing less. Just because they're nice to you, doesn't make them anything other than CRIMINAL!

They're Hells Angels! What don't you get about that? They aren't just a bunch of motorcycle enthusiasts. They're a gang that is very active in every aspect of the criminal world! You don't join their ranks if you're not planning on doing something illegal! What don't you get about that? Why is it so hard to accept that as nice as they might be to you, no matter how long you've known them, they are criminals?
As a cop's son I guess I just see things differently than other people.
