If it's not the dirty, incompetent OPP, it's the RCMP.

so, good enough to get fired, but NOT good enough to get criminally charged for assault and robbery? Those that say police are treated by the same system are once again found to be wrong.

The crime took place in Croatia and criminal charges are up to the Croats.

Hmmm. The US prosecutes child sex 'tourists' who commit crimes against children in foreign countries.

Still, it's a bit alarming when a country prosecutes people for things that were not prosecuted in the country where they took place.

What do we do when Russia or China wants to prosecute someone for what they said while in Canada or the USA? Would we extradite?

Again, it's troublesome to consider.

If someone in China gets prosecuted for beating the shit out of their girlfriend while they were in Canada for a while, I'm okay with it

What if they get prosecuted in China for practicing Falun Gong in Canada?

Our laws for going out of country to practice child sex are laws that apply here for an act committed there. There is no extradition needed because the crime of 'sex tourism' occurred here.

Conversely, there is no crime of practicing Falun Gong here, so no one could be extradited to China for a crime not committed in China.
