Harpers' drive to save money for only partisan reasons has led to huge cost overruns and poor service that has hampered Canada's ability to perform certain tasks in the government sector. Shared Services, the Phoenix Pay system . . . cost far more than they were ever supposed to save.
I'll give the Liberals a thumbs up for one thing, they don't cost cut for the sake of cost cutting. Sometimes you have to spend the money to get the results.
