Unfortunately you are correct. I have personal experience with a friend being abused and when I decided to help by taking matters into my own hands (with a few friends) to convince him to stop all that happened was I got blamed and a good friendship was destroyed.

Its tough to feel sympathy when it seems they invite the abuse. Whats worse is that she got out of it only to hook up later with another abuser (or so I was told anyway).

A very disturbing set of circumstances.

likewise Derby... also have been in relationships with women who've been in a relationship like that... still plays with their minds years after the fact
