As far as I understand, this guy wasn't even involved in the arrest. This was a planned and probably a premeditated attack. In reality these are hate crimes, targeted attacks for no other reason than due to their occupation.

RIP Officer Marconi.

Update: The suspect also visited the police station, appears this was quite a deliberate act which might have been far worse with many more victims.

The SAPD has dialed down their concern about the pictured 'suspect' and are now just calling him a person of interest or a probable witness.

Also, SAPD has a dismal record for beating and maiming innocent people and they're also notorious for violating the rights of minorities simply because they're minorities.

I hate to repeat this but if the police are going to act like an army of occupation then they're going to foment an insurgency and this kind of thing - an assassination of a target of opportunity - is what you'd expect during an occupation and an insurgency.

How is he a witness unless he has direct knowledge or is the perpetrator? Seems odd to connect two seemingly unrelated incidents in this manner.

You're jumping to conclusions. The man in the picture who was inside the police station may have been there on routine business and has already been mostly cleared as a suspect. Now they just want to know if he saw anything while he was coming or going from the police station.

A picture of a man does not make the man guilty of murder.

Oh I thought it was the guy they had suggested had been involved, I stand corrected.

Suspect in custody, as I stated before, the guy visiting the police HQ is in fact the same guy...

Have to love Texas police. They wouldn't have stopped until justice was served and they took him alive.
