Well, like it or hate it, he puts pucks in the net which is what the Oilers need. Too bad the Oilers are considered the undesirable, exiled team in the arctic north to play for but I hope a new coaching staff and team organization will put the Oilers back as a competitive team that players will want to play on.

To a point - he didn't produce when the team needed him (SCF) and he won't get the job done if he doesn't have someone to set him up. He doesn't go in the corners, doesn't fight for the puck, doesn't back-check or forecheck. He's really good at the one timer, but if nobody is there to set him up, he'll be useless...

It's NOT a bonus - it's $4M 'advance' on the rest of his salary - the rest of it is suppose to be paid off during the season. $10M last year, $8M this year and whatever is left over the next 4 years.
