I heard a talk show host today speculate it could be a bunch of med students playing a prank by cutting off the feet of medical cadavers. As plausible a theory as any I've heard.

That's plausible, a good way to end a medical career if caught but plausible.

CNN was just saying the sixth foot was an animal foot. Somebody playing a joke they figure.

Listening to the radio, they mentioned that all of the feet in shoes were human which gave me a laugh because there are no real other possibilities..
except now they mentioned that theis latest was some kind of animal paw stuffed in a shoe.

Not all. I do recall one killer from the US deep South maybe ten years or so ago who confounded the cops by changing his MO with each killing. They had no idea they had a serial killer until he was caught and his diaries linked the murders.

Why are they all "disarticulating" at the ankle though, I wonder. Makes me suspicious. I don't necessarily believe everything I hear in an RCMP press conference.

Yeah I read that in the paper this morning. It's a skelatonized animal paw. Also explains why it's only the feet that wash up.
