nuh-uh. The sun sets at 11 PM here during spring and early summer and is coming up at 3 AM. Daylight savings is pointless.

Personally, I love DST and I think it makes a difference in Edmonton - instead of the sun rising at 4 am and setting at 9 pm, it rises at 5 am and sets at 10 pm, but I do agree that the farther north you go, the less difference it makes.

It's the same as you get closer to the equator. There was only about 1 hour of daylight difference between the solstices in Taiwan.
