Interesting, Stompin' Tom is a very patriotic Canadian. We couldn't go wrong with a song from him.

I definitely could live with a song from Stompin' Tom.

One good thing is that it is can be said that it, like the Original Hockey Night in Canada tune, is pretty much another Canadian anthem.

Great idea. He might consider re-recording it--it's a pretty barebones folk arrangement as it stands. Get Great Big Sea for some instrumental and b/u vocals. Yeaah!
