Speaking of album covers and fighting with your face, may I suggest the BEST album cover of ALL TIME?

A-10 now thats some serious piece of kit, and love the way it looks 8)

Its funny I've gotten to see of all these, A-10's, the tornadoes, the high flying B-52's, F-14's etc etc flying about due to all the conflict in the region during the past 20 years.

Although a lot of low flying C-130's, Chinooks and Apaches in the sky here recently.

And you guys are just being mean about the Mirages because it french !

An aircraft built around a gun... [B-o]

I love the planes that have a single purpose. The A-10 being built to make a gun fly, the U2 built to fly too high to hit, the SR-71 built to fly too fast to hit.

When one consideration overrides virtually all others, the solutions are as elegant as they are unique, and even the flaws have charms of their own, like the U2 dropping its outrigger wheels on takeoff and having to land with its wings on skids, or the SR-71 having to get up to temeprature for the fuel tanks to seal themselves.

When I was in Cyprus a thousand years ago, the Yanks had a a TR-1 det ( upgraded U2). It was very interesting watching these beasts take off from RAF Akrotiri.

In a whole different life I got to spend some time at RAF Machrihanish awaiting a deployment and got see my first B-2. At the time I was told I didn't see anything and it was a couple years after that before the B-2 became public domain. In my ignorance I thought it was a recon aircraft at the time.

Soundgarden with a Chad Kroeger in the lead probably wouldn't have written 4th of July or Like Suicide.

To further abuse an already abused catch phrase, I almost threw up in my mouth a bit just thinking about something as awful as the Chadster in Soundgarden.

Kroeger has his place. C'mon, Burn it to the Ground is a good song; it gets my toe tapping even though I usually mock Photograph when I hear it on the air.

Yeah, Kroeger has his place. CanCon will ensure that Kroeger's lame-ass garbage, like Loverboy and Honeymoon Suite and Trooper, will grate ears on the Canadian airwaves decades into the future.
