Right now the temp at YVR is -5 with a wind chill of -12. The average temp for this time of year is 10C. How would you like it 20 degrees colder than usual? Not to mention the dump of snow we just had.

It's -33 in PG this morning. That's more then 20 below the normal for this time of year. Nobody cares about us though.

Sure we do, it's just that the problems of others seem somewhat unimportant when it's cold enough to have frozen the balls off the proverbial brass monkey.

I do wireless to home stuff. When it's bone chilling cold metal shrinks and the little contacts on the network cables outside can make connections spotty. All of them are on top of some guys roof, on a tower, and the transmitters are on mountaintops where you can't snowmobile at that temp and helicopters won't fly in the wind.
You're welcome to man the phones when it's -33 and the same people phone every time to whine that "whenever it gets this cold my service sucks".
Now if you can resist the urge to answer "So why are you calling if you already know why fuckwad? You want us to change the fucking weather?",
you're hired.

Friggin' freezing here today. -22

I'm so sick of this weather. When I had to walk to school today I made a conscious decision to never choose to live in this type of climate ever again.

Hello Lower Mainland, B.C. (in 16 months!)

-45c this morning, but it's -12c now.

Hopefully that'll be the last nasty spell.
