Most violent crime is committed with a knife. Knives scare me more than guns do. Guns one has to be fairly precise. Knives not so much.

Knives are also precision weapons.

When you stab someone in the kidneys you can count on them to briefly freeze. Then you give the knife a slight twist to break suction, withdraw it, and then cut the target's neck to the bone to silence them.

This is best accomplished with a well balanced, well sharpened, double-edge dagger and to be successful the maneuver must be swift and precise.

Or you can do it Gurkha style and just behead the target. That works, too.

I have a Kuriki at home. I love it and am terrified of it all at once.

I knew a Brit whose knife of choice was a very high quality Japanese-made Ulu.

He would punch people with it. 8O

If s would-be mass shooter has to instead resort to a knife because he can’t get a gun, and as a result is only us able to kill one or two people instead of several dozen, that’s actually an improvement.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Mass_stabbings

8 people wounded 143 others in a mass stabbing
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Kunming_attack

20 high schoolers wounded
https://www.latimes.com/nation/nationno ... 9-157.html

19 dead from a knife attack...

Knives are just as bad.

Next asinine argument point?

How would I know what your next asinine argument point is?

Knives are just as bad as guns??? ROTFL

You know that just about every adult, teenager and school-age child in the world handles a knife multiple times a day right ? Yet mealtime is rarely a mass-casualty event. You think if we were handling loaded guns at every meal instead of a steak knife we wouldn’t be in any more danger?

Also I don’t know what kind what kind of knives you have but none of my knives “discharge” at all. They don’t even have a sheath and yet nobody’s dead.

Anecdotes of rare mass casualty stabbing events all around the world do not offset the routine mass casualty events that happen in the US alone almost daily.

And if knives are just as deadly as guns then gun owners should have no concerns over any sinister liberal plot to confiscate all the guns and allow them to have as many unregistered knives as they want on demand....right?

You know I can (and I obviously wouldn't) leave a loaded Gun on the floor for weeks and it wouldn't go off. Humans make guns dangerous. Bans only affect the law abiding

Prove it show links of mass casualty events that happen 5-6 days each week.

We won't hold our breaths because we know its not true.

So taking guns out of the hands of the law abiding will prevent this? Can you name one criminal who ever abided with a weapon ban?

Its better to focus your effort on better screening and education rather than taking the guns out of the hands of the law abiding.
