Just hope we are not that stupid...

But it looks like we are being primed for it.

I agree we are we there as well, I was under the impression we were trying to get out of these wars. Why Barry wanted to get us into another one when we don't have to is beyond me.

I just don't see this as anything Canada should be involved in. I'll have the Article 6 stuff for the Afghan War, just. Libya though? It's in a European sphere of influence. Libya isn't a direct threat to NATO or North America and hasn't attacked a NATO country etc etc.

Baffles me why are there.

I guess this was on their minds all along. What bullshit. We were sold a no-fly zone, which I supported. Why is it we can never just do half-measures and then leave if they don't work, but keep getting sucked in deeper and deeper? Same with Astan - it was supposed to be about taking out Al Qaeda and any Taliban that got in the way. Then it turned to nation building and cost far too many lives and treasure for what?

To steal from Bismark;

The whole of Libya is not worth the bones of a single Canadian soldier.

Too true.

And even with the help they get, the rebels are too lazy to do the job themselves.

Even if they do win they will just find some other fat head tyrant to rule them.

How the Hell are they lazy? They have no money, very little training, and their army consists of former civilians and several army battalions that defected. They military is a bunch of toyota trucks and people with AK's and RPG's; it's not so much lazy as having next to nothing to work with. Not to mention that Gaddafi's loyalist units (commanded by his ruthless sons) are far better trained and equipped.

They've been fighting and dying since February for a free Libya. I'd hardly call them lazy.

Free or under their control instead of Ghaddafi's?

I have yet to see any "good guys" yet. Could just be me.

That's my take on things. One shower of shite fighting another shower of shite.
