Neither the lefties nor the righties in Toronto gave a shit while it was gang-bangers killing each other. No one even batted an eye until a cute, white 16 year-old girl got caught in the crossfire.

Toronto has a hell of a lot of problems..
At least here in BC we still care. In Toronto, it looks like they gave up.

It was one of the most brazen, shocking execution-style murders this city has ever seen.
And now it looks like both suspects are about to walk free.

The CPC sends out membership flyers all the time. I guess they all figure being in a gang is just a little bit more honest and respectable!

More reaction. With a little imagination, maybe Harper can come up with something proactive to actually prevent the violence.

How about finding ways to keep people from joining gangs in the first place?

Well I guess neither the past Liberal majorities nor this government are smart enough to find that magic solution lily.
Most folks in BC though are pretty clear that they no longer believe being nice to them is working.

Derby: Got a spot for the other ADSCAMMERS when they get out of prison?

They'll be joining the Mulroney-Schreiber connection awaiting bribes from Harper to cross the floor.

I just heard to minister of Justice outlining the new legislation. Sounds great to me! If the judges won't impose sentences to fit the crimes, then is law will sure help.

Look at the rogues gallery that set this mess up:

-Larry Campbell and his 4 pillars of drug tolerance is now a senator.

-Dosanjh has never been known for a hard stance on justice.

-Ho-Chee harcourt was a big creampuff untill someone broke into his house and now he wants to turn Baffin island into a gulag.

And, saving the best for last:

Quote:
Surrey Liberal MP Sukh Dhaliwal on Wednesday defended his letter of support for a convicted international drug trafficker, saying he was just trying to push for rehabilitation of serious criminals when he wrote to a U.S. judge on behalf of Ranjit Singh Cheema.

i was quite suprised to hear at the radio that every parties agree. The only party that has something to say is the Bloc, of course. They say that some crimes like "drive-by's" should not have a minimum time.

From what I heard so far, I don't like the changes myself.
Making gang murders first degree is a waste of time because they never actually catch these guys anyways. None of the shootings have anyone charged. I don't know about the drive by law but even when we find guns in punks cars, we can't charge them because "they didn't know they were there".
