What a fucking understatement. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time in a communist dictatorship during their push to punish a law abiding country is the only crimes against the state that these two have committed.

It's their misfortune that Canada still abides by the rule of law and arrested that ChiCom Princess Meng Wanzhou. Now they're going to have to pay the price for our country doing what it was legally obligated to do and nothing Trudeau says is going to change that fact.

It's unfortunate that some Canadians still believe the CCP are our friends when all their actions show otherwise. With the CCP you're only their friends if your willing to bow to their demands no matter what the issue is.

If Canadians don't mind me saying....Can Canadians approach Pakistanis as middle man to ask Chinese on their behalf? Some sort of deal with Chinese?

Americans also did the same at one point of history...Pakistan became bridge b/w US and China

Need leverage to retaliate and I don't see a single bit of that among Canada's options.

There will be no deals. These charges are 100% political, there is no legal reason for them.

Canada is run by the Rule of Law, so we will not do what the Chinese want and release Wenzhou.

Import duties on Chinese products. Start with steel. Then automotive parts, furniture, electronics . . .

Looks like China is uping the stakes. I expect our boys to be on the block next.

This option is intriguing too:

$1:
Canada can use the one superpower that comes with being in the sandwich—the skies.

The skies? Yes, because many cargo airplanes that pass from China to the United States cross Canada’s airspace. Deny those aircraft the ability to overfly, and a supply chain on which billions of dollars of Chinese trade depends would be severed.

Yes, because it is the shortest route.

Regardless, we need their cheap crap more than they need our worthless fiat.

Our government should have issued a travel advisory a long time ago. Stay the fuck out of China if you are Canadian.
