How is my thinking "silly"? Economists identified this solution a long time ago.

African dictators have destroyed economies there for decades. Yesterday, even! It's not that they don't want to help themselves; it's they are too poor, too superstitious, too uneducated to know that birth control is one thing that would help them economically. So, like vaccinations and Ebola, someone has to intervene so that their problems over there don't become our problems over here.

Ask Germany if they would rather have supported birth control in Africa in the 90's, or economic migrants now.
