Yes because the US is personally and financially responsible for all
women's choices in the 3rd world.

Thankfully, this bullshit is getting reversed.

Oh, and guess what, even you participate in the lies..

$1:
Reversing a policy Obama put into place on the same day eight years ago when he began his administration, Trump also moved to prohibit non-governmental organizations from receiving foreign aid if they perform abortions.

Trump directed the State Department to 'take all necessary actions, to the extent permitted by law, to ensure that U.S. taxpayer dollars do not fund organizations or programs that support or participate in the management of a program of coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization.'

At this link the new press secretary says "abortion and coercive abortion"
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world ... 42216.html

This is what is now occurring:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexico_City_Policy

It has been instated, rescinded, and so on for several administrations now.

Bans talking about abortions as an option at all or you lose US funding. Puritanical.

Everyone who marched demanded that we stay out of their vagina's. That it was none of our business that it was a private matter. Well guess what they were right so the Gov. got out of their way it's their private business so they can privately pay for it.

How about everyone show a modicum of decency and leave the family members out of the mud slinging bullshit!

I agree. Attack Trump on policy (or lack of policy) or shut up.

It's a short sighted move. Reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS and overpopulation in places like Africa reduces the need for foreign aid to combat HIV/AIDS and the times when crops fail and people starve. It also improves living conditions, and reduces refugee claims and economic migration.

I figured that last bit you'd be in favour of.

When did it become the US's job to bank roll every country? Should we not at least address pressing needs and issues of our own first. Such as unemployment, failing infrastructure, homeless and many other issues.

How's about Africa fixes African problems ?
Or is there maybe something wrong with Africans, that they can't
fix anything by themselves for themselves ?

No, they have sucking on Western money for wayyy too long.
Time for some weaning.

It would be nice for a change, but when those poor starving children appear on TV, Western Governments will continue to fund the corruption.

No one said it was. But the G7 nations do it anyway. It all comes down to cost. Which is cheaper, funding planned parenthood or funding millions of HIV infected people and millions of starving children?

Exactly. A whole heap of harm just to pander to a small group of bible thumpers. It's 2017, a lot of conservatives don't even care about abortion anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump himself has paid for a few abortions in his lifetime.

Only because we are stupid enough to let them.

Besides, it's just a scam for more money from the leftist charities.

Google Sudan agriculture. It's amazing what it produces.
And it all goes to Saudi Arabia, so the locals get 'famine'.

But you see Doc, it is exactly this kind of silly thinking that creates most of the problems
in the first place.
African countries don't sort out their own problems because they don't want to.
It's more fun just to take money from the West.

And people wonder why there is opposition to the factory farm in Canada. :(

And conveniently forget that droughts in Africa are cyclical. 36 million people last year alone were faced with starvation due to drought.

How is my thinking "silly"? Economists identified this solution a long time ago.

African dictators have destroyed economies there for decades. Yesterday, even! It's not that they don't want to help themselves; it's they are too poor, too superstitious, too uneducated to know that birth control is one thing that would help them economically. So, like vaccinations and Ebola, someone has to intervene so that their problems over there don't become our problems over here.

Ask Germany if they would rather have supported birth control in Africa in the 90's, or economic migrants now.
