Oh I'm certainly anticipating the calls of election fraud.

Wow.

Flip those numbers and you get a Canadian turnout.

Of course.

I mean, our countries aren't above it either.

Par for the course with leaders is all.

It happens in our countries but not at a national level (so far) like it does in other places that make a mockery of democracy.

Oh, yeah, sure thing

I suppose in a country with two parties that are the exact same it doesn't really matter if one cheats

I'm not going to bite.

For me I am going to assume that the elections were more or less fair (probably on the less side). I do know however that there are many folks from Venezuela (and I work with one) that hate his guts and have very good reasons for doing it.

The folks down there apparently like this dude and voted him back in power for their own reasons, so be it.

I am just glad that I live in North America and don't have to put with My Chavez's type of democracy.

Well that's too bad. It'll just embolden Chavez's more authoritarian tendencies. I was hoping for the other guy.

I think with any election, you're going to get irregularities, but given the voter turnout and the margin of defeat, I'll go out on a limb and say that Chavez won pretty handily.
