I've spent a lot of time researching the public school system in Ontario. Over those years I've drawn many conclusions. One is that, of all the spending Ontarians make on education, the single most wasteful use of tax dollars is the employment of school principals. It's not like they're simply useless. They're worse. They're actually a net detriment to the system.

There wasa similar incident, in Ontario, with a prinicpla allowing Muslim chidlren to go pary in the school gym or something. I;'ve got nothing against people practicing their religion, but we went through a lot of nasty pubic discourse removing Christian prayer from school in the US and Canada. I think in the US it went ot he Supremem COurt.

And then you get this principal just uhnilaterally decide that she knows better than everyone else, lets religion back in the schools. When calld on it, the poiticans demurred to the school system, and the school system to the princiapl. Why would a principal even be given that kind of power?

In this case it should have been a call from the MInister of Education to the prinicipal: give the kids their balls back, you wrteched harridan. Case closed.

hell we used to go horseback riding and go on camping trips up into the Duck and Riding Mountains When I was in Grade 8, six of us rode went on a trail ride from just south of Dauphin to Childs Lake in Duck Mountain Provincial Park. We were gone for over a week. We used to go into Riding Mountain all of the time for weekends. In June and September(before I was old enough to drive) some of us would bike to school rather than ride the bus. It was 10 miles, half of which was on back roads where we occasionally came across bears

I remember going horseback riding up there in the summer. Outdoor ed was great in The Pas. We went skiing and deep woods camping. I liked being a kid and now I feel sorry for them. They are missing out on everything that made me who I am.

No sauce in Kabul, buddy. Well there is, but the risk-reward ratio maks it an untenable propositin for me.

Just realy bad typer. I used the spellcheck built into the browser for a while, but it autocorrects words nd that as even worse. At least, mangled as it is, you can usually discern the meaning. But wiht the spellchecker it would change "enrivonetmnalism" to something like "eroticism" and completely change teh meaning.

Reminds me of the WKRP in Cinncinati episode when Johnny Fever's reactions improve the more he drinks!
