It's about Harper, not Obama.

More to the point, it looks more and more like Harper is in panic mode - improvising policy on an ad-hoc basis. In lay terms, he's flip-flopping. Again.

Sorta like the Liberal party of BC.

This bailout money will not work and more will doing nothing. Return the money to the people that they took it from. Then we will see some action.

But that's what they are doing. They are just taking the money and cycling it through the government first, so it may be more efficiently used.

Now the government is efficient ?
And what about the 75 billion $ GIVEN to the banks ? How efficient.

It wasn't actually strictly given to the banks. It was to purchase loans made by the banks to free up credit. If that credit was then extended to foreign entities, that's bad, but the Government's not permanently out that money.

It's actually quite impressive how you find ways to bring Obama into everything no matter how irrelevant it is. Seriously, this is about Canada and our economic solutions, not really much to do with the U.S. on this one.

I hate to break it to you and all the folks out east but not everyone can work for the government. Nor can we survive by all of us doing each others washing. We're an exporting nation and our largest trading partner is the US.

It's a sad reality that anything Harper does reguarding this recession is going to be small compared to what Obama does.

Some people still think throwing money into the Canadian economy is going to accomplish anything while the US limps around like a one legged monkey.

I'd like to wait and see what the current Stimulus does as well. The only exception would be if some Investment becomes available that can provide near instant Spending.
