I thought briefly about starting a thread with no commentary, just pictures of atrocities from the Holocaust. Then I realized that it just wouldn't do any good, that the value those images had to make people stop and think about what they're doing when they brush up against certain ideologies has more or less dissipated and can't reach the truly lost and demented. If they're that genuinely stupid to march under those flags and to yell out those rancid chants, or to make cowardly excuses and carry the water for those that are doing these things, then there's no hope for them. Whatever happens next has to come to pass, if for no other reason than to get it out of the way and then move on.

Pretty sure that the America we knew, and that most of us loved, is now dead and gone. It's just another thing that those of us who haven't gone fucking insane over the last sixteen years will have to get used to.
