Since this is a provincial party, why are you listening to pinheads who don't live in the province?

I do. The Wild Rose Party is ridiculous and the people in this province terrify me with their utter insane idea that their policies are good.

Quote:
- institute fixed election dates for Provincial Election every 4 years. The Legislative Assembly will be able to call a vote of non-confidence at any time.

- be accountable to the people of Alberta by having free votes with the exception of the budget and votes of non-confidence.

-institute a zero based budgeting program in all government departments. The program will require justification of all new funds spent each year. (As opposed to how it currently works, with a Ouija board)

Nice.. They tell the same lies that Steve told.

They forgot the part about having "open and transparent government".. Which of course means the government won't talk to the media.

That should have been a question in the poll these 1000 people participated in. :P

Can you name 5 candidates running in the next election for them. You can use the 2 that's obvious, name 3 more?

Since the federal Toronto party and the provincial Toronto party are all incestiously linked, it's impossible to view them as independant.

Maybe this is just my sterotypical Eastern bias and lack of understanding about redneck Western politics, but "Wildrose"? Isn't that the gayest name ever for a political party? Wasn't there even a lame-ass CBC soap-drama called "Wildrose", or some shit like that? Seriously, how could any red-blooded, straight cowboy vote for someone running for the Wildrose party?

I guess 'Brokeback Mountain' played to wider appeal out west than I'd have imagined.

LOL, I agree completely.

The provincial flower of ALberta is the Wildrose.

Don't know where they're keeping them - none around here, The Alberta flower should be cacti.

I wonder if you know what you are looking for, because the wild rose is the same plant as the rose hip,

the flowers form the seed/fruit of the rose hip plant. Small animals such as squirrels and birds are attracted to the hips and even deer, moose, rabbits and oyotes are known to eat the rose hips.

The rose hips is aknown source of vitamin C.

"As the flower begins to wither, it turns into a small oval shaped hard seed container called a "rose hip" which is also considered the fruit of the plant."
www.albertarose.com

I didn't realize this before, but the rose hip comes after the flower.

Well it might be better labelled a horse of a different colour. The platform is right of centre so it might be closer to the change from Social Credit to Conservative. Some of the same players with a different name. If Alberta swithces to the Wild Rose Party I wonder how many decades they will stay in power.

If they get in it'll be for one term, then everyone here will forget how the cons have been screwing them for years and they'll be back. Personally I'd stick with the cons if they'd get rid of that jackass leading them right now

the wildrose party is a reminder that there is nothing sacred about a party name, if stelmach doesn't behave, we'll replace him and his party with another conservative party. We've done it before, and it can happen again.

I've been sending them notices that they are all sacked, and should clean out their desks.

Just a sec there is someone at the door . .
