I guess we should do away with anymore costly and unproductive elections since the public has spoken and Dear Leader is a unanimous choice to rule our country. :D

I wonder who they polled for this result?

Oh wait here's the company that did the poll.

Forum Research.

Quote:
Forum Research Inc. is Canada's most unique research firm, founded in 1993, the company has conducted research for a wide range of clients in many different disciplines. What makes us different is that we are not only a research firm but we are also a technology company. We combine the power of superior industry talent with innovative leading technology to provide our clients with the necessary insight to get the results they want.

At Forum Research we specialize in 5 main disciplines:

Enterprise Feedback Management
Customer Experience
Market and Consumer Research
Retail and Branch Research
Consulting Services

So given their history of giving the clients the results they want this poll has to be considered extremely accurate and unbiased.

I agree with the outcome of the poll. I think Canadians will get swept up by Justin, he'll win them over not on substance but on style.

I'm betting the CPC has attack ads waiting to be put forward for Justin. However, I think they will have little effect.

Let's see...one questioning the pollsters, one putting a video of Rick Mercer, and one agreeing with the poll's assessment.

I'm missing the whole "fear and loathing" and the "rabid right" so far, unless Rick Mercer transformed into some ultraconservative and I missed it.

Well, then you haven't been paying attention. You should read some of Thanos's posts--he's keeping a running tally on the whole thing. Specifically on Trudeau, you have to read some of the4 previous threads.

Thanos can cherry pick any comment done by any Republican in his thread, that's not exactly evidence that the entirety of the conservative populations of Canada and the United States are "fear and loathing", or "rabid".

Sure, I can read previous threads about anti-Trudeau statements, much like I can read anti-Harper ones, and no doubt there will be some pretty outrageous statements done by leftists, however, it'd be a stretch to paint the whole spectrum of the left in that category.

Some things are pretty predictable At Halloween there will be stories about idiots wearing blackface or other socially unredeeming costumes. On Remembrance Day there will the inevitabl;e veteran tossed from some business establishment.

And when Justin Trudeau's name comes up there will be the de rigeur post form the forum righties.

It's a kind Orwellian "Two Minutes Hate" thing. It must perform some kind bonding function.

I think with Justin Trudeau it's more of the hate thing with his father. You know, 'like father like son'.

Personally, until the day he inevitably becomes leader of the Liberal party and puts forward his party's policies, I would reserve judgement.

Given some of the responses to my questioning of the polling method and company it's nice to see we've reverted right back to 1968 including the cult of personality phenomenen when it comes to a Trudeau.

But for the record I didn't question him I questioned the idiots who used an internet polling company that specifies one of it's mandates as giving their clients the results they want since it pretty much defeats the puprose of a poll.

Oh, come on. "Giving clients the results they want" doesn't mean fabricating the poll's results. It means giving the clients a successful poll that provides the useful information they're looking for. Jesus Christ, you're not that daft, surely.

The poll served a randomly picked group of 1785 individuals and claims a 95% confidence rating. Is the sample size large enough to truly guage several million voters? According to Wikpedia there are 24 million eligible voters in Canada so to achieve a 95% confidence level with an interval of 0.5 the poll would need to cover over 38,000 people.

Maybe this is why some of the polls do not match reality.
