In a recent coalition report, Finding the Balance: Reducing Border Costs While Strengthening Security, 45 Canadian and U.S. business associations, led by the Canadian and U.S. Chambers of Commerce, called for specific near-term measures to reduce border-related costs and burdensome border requirements and to facilitate the movement of legitimate people and goods...The recommendations of our report are very much in line with the SPP's initial framework, released in June, 2005. Our border report also provides a practical list of priority areas where government must act to ensure our economic competitiveness without undermining our security...Over 10 million jobs rely on the current Canada-U.S. relationship. We need to keep all of these 10 million jobs, held by 10 million families, paying 10 million mortgages, in North America. A commitment to implement the report's recommendations within the next 18 months will have a direct and positive impact on North American competitiveness and help to create even more jobs thanks to a secure and trade-efficient border.

What else could anybody expect from the Chamber, controlled by the corporate mafia, covering up the elementary fact that all forms of "competition" are increasing costs.

Get out of the WTO and NAFTA and save 20 million jobs.

Long live protectionism!

Anybody that believes that the SPP will protect 10 million jobs is a total sucker.
