Hello people.

I went to the movies last night and decided to see Fast Five (i wasn't sure on which film to see, Fast Five or Thor). It's the latest installment of the Fast And Furious film franchise, and I really enjoyed this one.

It is the best one of the franchise, and the makers decided to go a different route in this one. The focus of the film shifts away from the street racing aspect and concentrates more on the action, making this film as the transitional film for the franchise.

The acting is much improved in this one, and many of the characters of the previous films make their return and a new one joins the ranks: Dwayne Johnson. The feature vehicle is the 2011 Dodge Charger, but other Dodge cars make apperances: 1970 Charge, 2010 Challenger. If any here like action and heist films, I reccomend you see Fast Five.

A little thing to note about the film. When the credits roll, stay in your seat.

It's an awesome flick. I saw it this past Tuesday to continue my following of the franchise. I think it's safe to say that this one actually tops the first one. I pretty much liked evert FF movie except for the second one. I didn't enjoy it as much as the others.

But Fast Five kicks ass. It's got it all. Plus, the ending leads into the sixth installment that is due in 2012 I think.

I saw it with my friends a couple days ago, and I loved it too. It's thoroughly entertaining and action-packed so there's no point in the movie you'll be bored or disinterested. The continuous focus on racing in the other ones was starting to get old (especially by the fourth one, where I almost completely lost interest), so the writers definitely made the right move in this film.

My only problems with the movie were that a few aspects of it were a little far-fetched...especially the way the Dwayne J's character played-out. But I suppose that is to be expected in movies.

I would also recommend it as a great action/thriller. But people shouldn't expect anything very mind-blowing, especially in terms of cleverness or originality.

cdn_patriot. Same here, I didn't like 2 fast 2 furious at all, neither did any of my friends. Tokyo Drift made up for it though.

stevek. Agree, the racing focus was losing its appeal in the fourth one, and I'm glad the creators decided to go a different route for fast five. As for the far-fetched parts, well in a movie like this realism is pretty much out to a long lunch. I found Dwayne Johnson's acting is the same as in all his other films, as in he's playing the same toughguy over and over. I also agree about setting the expectations for cleverness and originality (acting quality would fit well too) on the low side in a film such as the F&F movies....and Bay's transformers trilogy.

I like the first fast and furous movie, I even liked the 2nd one but afterwards I sort of saw the continued trend they were taken. I was bored and just decided to see Fast 5 having expectations it would be another crummy installment in a movie franchise. However I was mind blown when I saw it. Definetly the best one of the franchise. It was pretty epic.
